Also worth noting is that a Sunni insurgent group has taken credit for the murder of one of Ayatollah Sistani's aides. Although terrorists have killed numerous Shi'ite clerics before, I can't recall them taking credit for it. Depending on where you stand, the insurgents' decision to identify themselves reflects either the fact that Iraq is approaching the outbreak of total civil war or that Sunni insurgents have recognized that they do not represent the people of Iraq, but instead an embittered minority.
