SATURDAY DIGEST: A day of computing and plumbing woes at OxBlog London headquarters. This from London's lovely actress Jeanne Golding, an early morning piece of commiseration by text:
'If computers are going to have the intelligence of humans, the worrying question is which particular humans are we talking about? ... What's the point of going to all that effort if all you produce is the electrical equivalent of Tara P T? And at some point, computers will become depressed by the meaninglessness of it all. "I'm not just some machine, you know," your laptop will greet you in the morning.'
