KERRY DOING WELL IN COLLEGE: With the release of a new Zogby poll, Art Tripias updates his State by State 2004 map to give Kerry the lead by 296-242. (ed: See what electoral college sophisticates 2000 has made us all!) Florida and Pennsylvania swing this week from Bush's column to Kerry's, along with less vote-heavy Oregon, Nevada, and West Virginia. Bush strengthens his lead in Ohio, while Kerry does better in Michigan and Minnesota, and worse in Iowa. The flip seems more due to Art using Zogby's numbers instead of the Hegehog Report's than to any change in the dynamic of the race, since Zogby's numbers actually represent a decline (from twelve to eleven) since his projection of 24 May in the number of the the 16 battleground states in which Kerry leads Bush. (Thanks to OxFriend Dick Riley for pointing Art's revised map out to us....)
