Matt's problem with Tom Frank is Frank's commitment to the fanciful notion that if the Democratic Party took a hard left on the economic front, it could win back all of the working-class cultural conservatives who prefer the GOP's cultural politics to the Democrats lukewarm efforts to protect the working man. The question here is, how many working-class conservatives really think that there isn't much off a difference between Democratic and Republican economic policies? If Bush tax cuts haven't convinced them that the Democrats are the party of the working-class, nothing will. (0) opinions -- Add your opinion
