NABLUS: Yesterday in Nablus, I interviewed the local commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a longtime Hamas leader who is the number six candidate on his party's national list, and a Palestinian poet. The chaps from Al-Aqsa and Hamas were courteous, gentle, and unfailingly polite, and gave me Arabic coffee. The poet was an arrogant insufferable git. Go figure.
