TRASHIEST MOVIE EVER: And the award goes to Wild Things. It's like Melrose Place on steroids. Except that it strings you along, only to admit by the end that it's actually a parody of itself. I loved it.

I loved it, too. It's a guilty pleasure for many of us.

But you'd never seen it before? That's surprising.

I think anything with Courtney Love in it has to be considered "most trashiest" so my vote is for "The People vs. Larry Flynt". And I actually liked "Wild Things", altho Neve Campbell is now offcially a skank in my book.

It is yet another one of the truly great roles for Kevin Bacon. No matter how B-movie his movies are, can they really stay down there? Matt Dillon is always very effective. And Denise Richards was a revelation.

Maybe grey ghost is thinking Theresa Russell when he says Courtney Love. Or was she actaully there? I sure know Theresa Russell was - and hey, maybe she is another one of those who elevates films - I hope you have seen "Black Widow".

Let's not forget "Species I, II, III" (Not to be confused with the "Taking of Pelham 123").

Of course II sucked, but if you're going to do it, do it right and see 'em all.

I read these comments and I see NO sense of history. David - do me a favour and watch 'Mildred Pierce', which is glorious 'trash',but also brilliant. I can supply further Joan Crawford references as needed but this trumps 'Wild Things' with no grief (though the nature of 'trash' has surely changed a bit); I think you have to retreat on 'Wild Things'.
